A tuna melt with awesome fries and a hot turkey sandwich with gravy. Our final meal before we go on a serious, serious diet.

We ate at The Wheel Inn (most famously known as the dinosaur place from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure) for our final road meal.

We finally made it to California! At a gas station in the middle of nowhere, we found the General Patton Museum….
Not as cool was our hotel room. Apparently, they’re all like this. Brandon almost started crying when he saw the bed (to be fair, we had been in the car for 13 hours). He likened it to the hotel room in Big where Tom Hanks spent his first night after escaping to NYC. Kate thought it was more “monastery chic”. She was just charmed by the working rotary phone.
